1-900? I haven’t heard of it… is it like a telemarketing thing that calls IT workers and offers them porn? if not there’s a lot of porn mney in lonely IT guys!

Ah come on, at least tell the story right. It was a 1-900 GAY porn number. And we kept transfering it to customer service while they were busy with customers so we could watch their expression. siigh the good old days

isaac5, there are 1-900 phone numbers that you can call and they charge your credit card for every minute you’re on the phone with them. A popular use for these numbers is “party girls” who talk dirty to you. Presumably very slowly so you’ll stay on the call longer.

Okay. I get the fact that it is funny as hell on that side of the line. But imagine being on the other end… You know the “dirty girl” end… Suddenly you get a “Hello and welcome to the gadgethovel tech support, how may I help you?” Now THAT is funny.

I can only imagine that the “dirty girl” end responds thinking you’re doing some sort of weird kitchy RP… Just think of the myriad of responses to “Tech support, How may I help you?” Sounds like some really low rate porn movie opening.
